Tom's Back On The Ballot For The Democratic Primary

Yesterday, the Connecticut Supreme Court, via a rare ruling directly from the bench, placed Tom back on the ballot for a Democratic Primary in the 58th District.

As Tom said to the Hartford Courant yesterday, “I’m happy. I’m relieved. It’s a nice win, but I’m sad for the town of Enfield electors and voters because we shouldn’t have been put through all these shenanigans.”

Tom is happy that this ruling vindicated Enfield Democratic Registrar of Voter Beth Jerez and Enfield Town Clerk Shelia Bailey. Both are great public administrators who should not have been given a bad ruling for simply doing their jobs. Tom also would like to thank his attorney at the appellate level, Alex Taubes and his attorney at the trial level, Jeff Mirman.

We look forward to a robust primary campaign. Here is the link to the article: https://www.courant.com/2026/07/31/two-challengers-placed-on-primary-ballot-by-ct-supreme-court-against-state-legislators/
